Window keys open the locking handles on uPVC, aluminium and timber windows, as well as window restrictors and older sash locks. Many uPVC window handles use one of a small number of common key types, and the brand name or a code is often marked on the key, the handle or the key cover.Before ordering, check the handle brand, often on the underside or behind the handle, and compare your keyhole and key shape with the product photos. If one key fits several windows, that is normal, as many window handle keys are shared across a whole house.If handles are stiff, broken or you have no key at all, replacing the handle can be simpler than finding a key.
