Wardrobe keys open the small locks on wardrobes, armoires, chests of drawers, cabinets and other bedroom and antique furniture. Modern furniture tends to use cam locks with a code stamped on the lock face, while older pieces often use small lever locks that take a simple barrel or bit key.Before ordering, check for a code on the lock face or key and compare the key type with the product photos. For older furniture, the shape of the keyhole and the length of the key are the main things to match; a barrel key has a hollow end that fits over a pin inside the lock.For valuable antiques or unusual locks, a locksmith or furniture restorer may be the better route.
